The Holidays Are Coming
Whether we want to think about them or not.
What a rollercoaster couple weeks, right? Dems across the country had incredible wins - from the fact that every single bigoted Moms for Liberty candidate across the country lost, to Mamdani’s massive victory in NYC, and the CA redistricting referendum being such a blowout that it was called minutes after the polls closed.
Five days later, ‘moderate’ Senate Dems decided to mark that momentous victory by thoroughly, totally, and completely surrendering leaving millions of families’ futures hanging in the balance. What’s a compassionate person to do?
Well, those wins are all still there. That yearning, coming from millions of Americans, for something better, something smarter, something kinder; it’s all still there too. That all happened and no amount of spineless representation can change that. In fact, what we have now is a crystal clear path forward, and that is something to be grateful for. Which is pretty on queue for November, the month of giving thanks.
No matter what you’re feeling, we’re here for you. If you need some encouragement, a place to vent, a place to laugh, a boost, all of the above – we got you. Activist Care Circle will be meeting on November 17th (8:00pm ET / 7:00pm CT) to support you through what’s left of 2025. Please note, this is a week earlier in the month than usual because of Thanksgiving.
On Monday we’ll be offering our Top Ten Tips to get through the holidays – joyfully and peacefully. While we can see some of you rolling your eyes at the mention of the holidays already, it should be noted that we at least waited till Halloween was put away. 😉 So bring that leftover candy and join us for a fun discussion, ten holiday tips, a little mindfulness, and a lot of joy. Sign up for November 17th.
While we’re here to support you throughout the year, this will be the last 2025 workshop. Please reach out if you’re in a space where you need more support. You can do so by simply responding to this email.
We would like to extend our greatest gratitude to you for all you’ve done this year, and for honoring the wonderful person you are. We’d love to see you on Monday, but in case we don’t, we’re sending our best wishes for a joyous holiday season and plenty to be thankful for.
With gratitude and solidarity,
Heather and Amy
Remembering this these wise words from President John F. Kennedy on this Veterans’ Day … “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
