Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
Finding Joy in Dark Places
Today marks 50 days of the current administration. While it feels like 50 weeks, it’s not all bad. We’ve made it through 50 days! We will never again have to go through the first 50 days of a President Tariff administration again. GOP voters’ and non-voters’ eyes are opening. Public outcry continues to grow. The president’s approval rating is in freefall, not unlike Tesla stock. It’s all about where you’re looking. We would never ask you to ignore the bad. You should follow the same advice about the good. :)
“Every joke is a tiny revolution.” - George Orwell
While it can feel like we're swimming in pretty dark water these days, the antidote is never far away. Joy is a buoyant light that can keep us afloat. Joy is not frivolous in these dark times, it is a necessity. How do we find a way to smile or laugh when things are looking bleak? It may be challenging, but this month’s Activist Care Circle workshop will show you how.
March’s workshop is the second in our “Focus” series. We hope you will join us for “Finding Joy in Dark Places”, an exploration of joy and grief.
We will be meeting on Monday, March 24 - 8:00pm ET / 7:00pm CT on Zoom. As always the workshop will be roughly one hour with at least 30 minutes for Q&A. Come as you are, take part to the level you feel comfortable, this is a space for you. Sign up now, and tell a friend. Join Heather and Amy for a time to build community, share (or not), strengthen those joy muscles and definitely laugh.
This month, we’ve got something extra special for you! Everyone who attends on March 24 will be entered into a drawing for a choice between a free print from our incredible resident artist, Amy Branch-Lambert. So now you have even more reason to attend! See you there!
