Announcing Activist Care Circle Summer Camp
Resilience, Recuperation, Revelry & S'more
Summer camp is a time and place where you can take a break, learn interesting things, have some fun, and connect with new friends. Who says you have to be a kid to go to camp? We think now is a great time to do all those things!
Announcing Activist Care Circle Summer Camp
The world is a difficult place to navigate right now. The overwhelm is real. The goal is to distract and tires us. Not letting that happen is as important as any other means of fighting for democracy. This summer we’re going to have some fun while learning how to do just that. We hope you will join us for Activist Care Circle Summer Camp.
We’ve put together three fun and helpful workshops to share with you, and anyone who finds themselves overwhelmed because of a caring heart. Sign up for all or one. Come as you are and feel free to share. As always our 4th Monday workshops are free. We’re here for you. Come celebrate summer, make connections, and recharge.
🎒 Pack Your Backpack: June 23
We’ll share tools you can carry with you to prevent activist burnout, build resilience, and help summon joy. We’ll have you ready for the summer of protests and action. You can make a difference and take care of yourself! Sign up for June’s workshop.
🎨 Arts & Crafts: July 28
We’ll have some fun with our resident artist while we learn to use art to de-stress and unwind. We’ll help you fight anxiety and autocracy with style. Artists and artistically-challenged are welcome. No talent required. Sign up for July’s workshop.
🏕️ Campfire Stories: August 25
The stories we share, and the tales we tell ourselves, they matter. Framing them correctly can prevent anxiety for ourselves, and help bring new people into the movement. Let’s gather round the digital campfire and talk about stories. Marshmallows optional. Sign up for August’s workshop.
"I expect some new phases of life this summer, and shall try to get the honey from each moment." — Lucy Stone
Please share this email with anyone having a difficult time with world we live in. We’re here to help. A better world is possible, but fighting for it alone isn’t enough. We must also learn to take a breath, to find joy in it. This fight is a fight for a lifetime.
We hope to see you next week, June 23rd for the first session of summer camp.
